New Hire: Cyclops Appoints Jonas Jünger, Managing Director, Europe
Binance and EY veteran with extensive crypto infrastructure experience to lead Cyclops Europe.
Cyclops is pleased to announce that Jonas Jünger has joined the company as Managing Director of Cyclops Europe.
Jünger brings a career built at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets, spanning roles at EY, a hedge fund, a data provider and most recently more than three years at Binance. He joined Binance in the wake of FTX, when Bitcoin was trading around $20,000 and the industry was still finding its footing. In crypto, three years feels like an eternity, and Jonas used that time well. He led the team that scaled Binance's global fiat channels exponentially, growing the business 10x and helping build the local entity into a unicorn.
Before Binance, he spent time at EY, where he built the Blockchain Team for the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region from the ground up.
Jonas came to Cyclops because he believes stablecoins will become an integral part of the future of payments, with the potential to touch billions of lives across the globe. That belief, paired with the operational experience to build regulated, compliant businesses at scale in European markets, is what makes Jonas an incredible addition to our team.
With the upcoming opening of the Vienna office and the establishment of Austria as Cyclops's EU headquarters, the priority is building the team, regulatory framework and capabilities to serve the European market the right way. Cyclops was built with a compliance-first mindset, and Jonas brings the track record to match that standard.
