New Hire: Ryan Cole Joins Cyclops as Director of Growth
Payments media veteran from PaymentsJournal and PYMNTS brings over a decade of fintech content strategy expertise to the Cyclops team.
Cyclops is thrilled to announce that Ryan Cole has joined the company as Director of Growth.
Ryan brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of payments and content. He spent the last eight years as Director of Content Strategy at PaymentsJournal, the media platform of Javelin Strategy & Research, which he helped launch in 2018. In that time he collaborated on several hundred fintech marketing campaigns, developing deep expertise in thought leadership production, promotion and lead generation across the payments industry. Before that, Ryan began his sales and marketing career at PYMNTS.com in 2014 — one of the most widely read platforms in global payments media.
For over a dozen years, Ryan has been on the other side of the table helping payments companies build their voice and reach their market. Joining Cyclops means taking an ownership stake in that work and he couldn't be more ready for it.
His role spans sales and marketing, developing Cyclops's content engine, driving thought leadership and market education, attending industry events and contributing to business development. The passion behind it all runs deep. As Ryan puts it: "Blockchain solutions have been a passion of mine since 2021, when I realized the potential of bearer digital assets to disintermediate traditional four-party payment systems." That conviction, paired with relationships built across more than a decade in payments media, is exactly what Cyclops was looking for in this role.
Cyclops has been built by people who know payments inside and out. Ryan is the latest example of that and his arrival puts the team in a stronger position than ever to take this platform where it needs to go.
